Bošovice · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Silver Bowl and Golden Ducks

One part of Bošovice is called Krchůvek. A church and monastery once stood beside it. People say that when the monastery’s foundations were laid, a large silver bowl was placed within them, holding twelve golden ducklings with a golden duck sitting upon them. Until quite recently, local children would go looking for golden ducks after rain, in case the water had washed them out somewhere.
