The old castle at Mladá Boleslav is said to have been connected to Michalovice by a secret underground passage, while another led to the town hall. J. V. Grohmann mentions a robber castle called Buttna near Mladá Boleslav. Two underground passages supposedly led from it, one to the town’s barracks and the other to the old pharmacy. In the middle of the passages lies a vast underground sea, beside which appears the ghost of a white knight with a fiery horse. He is allegedly the castle’s last owner and robs everyone who arrives. His enormous treasure also rests in the underground reservoir, hidden there after the castle’s destruction.
