A small castle above the Rimava near Skalník was allegedly once the home of Princess Mága. Every year at midnight on Ascension Day its secret halls open, filled with bright light. In one chamber a chalice and a cross stand on a table beneath a shining star. A knight leans on his sword beside the table, surrounded by an army in full armour. He takes the chalice and drinks, followed by the entire army, yet the chalice remains full. When the last soldier sets it on the table, the star goes out and the halls close for another year.
