Růžový palouček, the Rose Meadow, was a sacred place for the exiles after the Battle of White Mountain, who said farewell to their homeland here. It lies eight kilometres west of Litomyšl, by the former hamlet of Tři kocoury. It is said that nobody ever succeeded in turning it into a field, so it was left undisturbed. Wild red roses grow there, with lime trees around it. A golden chalice is allegedly hidden deep underground, buried by the exiles before they left their country.
