The custom of regular Saturday devotions in the château chapel was once observed here. During the time of one of the Wallensteins the custom was neglected. A White Lady then appeared at night to a local girl and ordered her to tell her master that she wished the prayers restored. As proof she rolled a pewter plate into a cone; it was long kept here as a “corpus delicti”. One château room is also said to have been haunted. An unhappy spirit appeared there saying “Saecula saeculorum”. Only when a brave person dared to reply with the desired “Amen” did the apparitions supposedly stop.
