Křemyž · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Devil's Wall

Near the village on Ladenský vrch lies a massive rampart of basalt fused like lava. A robber knight supposedly sold his soul to the devil, who built the wall to fortify his home. When the appointed time came, the knight refused to surrender his soul. The fiend unleashed an immense fire, consuming castle and knight. Only the fused basalt ramparts still shown here remained.
