An old woman, the high priestess of Kotýz castle, supposedly once rode across Zlatý kůň while knitting a stocking. Her ball of yarn fell, and the horse stepped on it. She angrily cursed; the hill opened, swallowing them both and turning them to stone. The spot is still called Na zkamenělé babičce, At the Petrified Grandmother, and people long avoided it.
