Mysterious skittle players appear in the castle ruins. At noon, after a sudden peal of thunder, a prepared lane of pure gold appears in the meadow beneath the tower, with grey pins and a queen pin of blue lead. Three little men in ancient clothes play, richly rewarding anyone willing to reset the fallen pins. After a while the apparition vanishes in a violent whirlwind.
