Budenice, now a hamlet of Jarpice, has a Baroque château with an English landscape park. A wooded part is still called the Devil's Wood. Here the devil once vanished with the evil lord of Budenice château. The lord took particular pleasure in having poor people whipped out of his courtyard after his compassionate wife fed them for free. His ghost appeared here after his death.
