On Průhoně hill in Járov, a little chapel was built above a spring where, following a miraculous apparition, the water was believed to heal. The place was also called U Boží vody, “By God’s Water”. A mother once sent her daughter here for water; when she was slow to return, the mother cursed her to turn to stone. Her body, in the form of a stone, can still be seen here. According to V. Krolmus, the legend alludes allegorically to the daughter’s return to idolatry and her disappearance together with paganism.
