A castle supposedly once stood at Koudelka, leaving no trace today. Its treasures are said to lie in a former marsh, now drained, guarded by a large black dog with fiery eyes. A fortified manor stood in Na Hradcích Wood on a hill still called Věžiště, three kilometres east of the town. It supposedly had two secret passages. A great treasure remained in its cellars, also guarded by a black dog.
