An old legend tells of a fiery dragon that flew here from afar and caused great damage. It killed livestock and set the castle ablaze several times. Eventually a magical means was found to overpower and kill it. The tale is often linked to ancient invasions by the Lučané into this border territory of the Czechs. See Hředle.
