At the local fortified manor, whose cylindrical tower, wall remains and ground-floor building survive, appeared ghosts of former estate owners. Legend says that one ghost appeared to a priest who came to banish them and declared there would be no peace until the owner gave the château to a local threshing labourer. When this was done, the ghosts vanished and the haunting ended.
