A High Baroque château of 1728–1730 with wall paintings stands in the village. After the death of its cruel owner, Josef Vratislav of Mitrovice, in 1832, his ghost appeared here. People say a violent storm broke out even during his funeral, so the coffin had to be tied to the hearse to prevent it being swept away. Later his ghost appeared as a black dog, sitting before the château gate at midnight and howling mournfully for an hour. Eventually, the story says, the lord of Mitrovice’s body was taken from the tomb and its head severed with a spade.
