According to legend, Řečice was founded by Knights Templar who were later executed here. A procession of executed knights appeared in the château cellar, walking with their heads under their arms. Every year on All Souls’ Day, all the executed unfortunates leave the dungeon of Řečice Château and process to the cemetery for a dark devotion. People say that the lady of the château once secretly attended this black mass of spirits in the church, but was discovered and nearly lost her life.
