Above Zhoří, a settlement belonging to Zhořec, lies the deep Devil's Ravine. At one point it forks into two valleys, resembling enormous trousers. Legend explains its shape through a tailor once walking here from Střítež. A devil joined him and asked for trousers. The tailor brought them the next day, but the fiend refused to pay. They fought, and the Devil scraped with his feet and thrashed in all directions, sending earth high into the air. Their struggle dug the ravine, which still resembles trousers. Seeing that he could not overcome the tailor, the Devil roared and disappeared into it forever.
