Náklo hill is linked to an alternative theory that the important Great Moravian centre of Veligrad may have stood nearby. Supporters point to traces of buildings in the landscape and even suggest a vast settlement partly concealed underground. This is a theory, not a generally accepted archaeological conclusion.
