Odolenka of Svatobor

At the northern foot of Svatobor Hill lies a famous healing spring once credited with miraculous powers. It is called Odolenka, supposedly after the Slavic maiden buried here, daughter of Klat, founder of Klatovy. Pagan rites were held here first, later pilgrimages to her grave. On stormy nights her ghost appears singing pagan songs, then boards a cart drawn by white oxen that take her back to her grave.
