In 1673, the knight Maxmilián František Boryně of Lhota bought Radnice, its château and several neighbouring villages. He was a good lord who did not torment his subjects. Soon after his death, his widow Jana Maxmiliána, née of Věžník, began holding lavish masked entertainments. His ghost then started appearing at night. One day it supposedly burst into the château, broke furniture and tore masks off the revellers. The widow consequently sold the château as early as 1682.
