According to local legend, the wayside shrine at Hráč stands on a mound that is actually Attila’s grave. The Hun leader allegedly fell ill and died here. He was placed in three coffins: gold, silver and iron. His body was buried at Náklo beside the Hračice path, and earth carried in helmets was heaped above it. In the 1860s, Attila fever broke out here. Many people dug in various places, mostly at night to avoid being seen. One retired farmer found some brass ornaments, but Attila’s grave has never been found, here or anywhere else.
