Northwest of town, near Na viničkách hill, stretches the so-called Hunger Embankment, built on the orders of a merciless count of Donín. It is said that three ghostly coaches travelled along it between eleven o’clock and noon. In one of them the count, transformed into a horse, was harnessed to the coach. (See Kostomlaty nad Labem.)
