On one side of the rock beneath Litice Castle is a laboriously cut tunnel through which water from the Orlice could be led without taking its broad bend around the castle hill. At the other end is an opening once used to release an artificial waterfall. According to legend, captured Turks built this exceptionally laborious structure, which served no practical function. It is also said that an underground passage leads from Litice to Potštejn Castle.
