Klenčí Pod Čerchovem · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The old washerwoman at Šindelářouc kout

On the road from Klenčí to Díly, in Lachce forest, lies a place called Šindelářouc kout. An enormous stone with one broken corner resembles a seat. An old washerwoman's ghost appears here, spinning flax on a spindle. When disturbed her thread usually broke, and anyone who saw her supposedly died within a month.
