After midnight a fiery carriage rattled through the street, crossed the square and entered house No.61. After death the burgrave appeared here, dressed entirely in black and turning the pages of a great book. In life he had robbed orphans and so found no peace in the grave. Strangely, the apparition was visible through the window from outside, while nothing could be seen inside. When the room was consecrated, the ghost began appearing outside the house, seated on a bench. Many people saw him there.
