A white figure's ghost could be seen at night in the gardens of Josefov. Around the fortress, between the ramparts, a black figure with a paper in its hand walked along inspecting the walls as if investigating something. According to legend it was the ghost of the fortress's unjustly executed builder. Many people saw it, especially soldiers serving here.
