The Cruel Curse

Treasures are supposedly hidden in the old château. A White Lady appeared here at night, once a frivolous girl cursed by her own mother. She always emerged from underground cellars containing the tombs of former owners and climbed the broad staircase. Like a pale shadow she passed through the rooms, holding a lit candle in one hand and a silver bowl in the other. Tears from her cheeks fell into it. She will supposedly be freed when the bowl is full. But the cruel curse still pursues her: whenever it is almost filled, an unknown spirit appears and knocks the vessel from her hands.
